This year, The D. Gary Young, Young Living Foundation is celebrating 10 years of empowering the lives of underserved individuals and communities around the world by providing wellness and education opportunities. Young Living Founder, D. Gary Young, is the visionary behind the passion of the Foundation, and his ambitious dreams and heart paired with a calling to give back to others has blossomed into a nonprofit organization that elevates others to defy their limitations and dream as big as Gary did.

One of the first examples of Gary’s desire to share the life-changing experience of service with others was his June 2001 trip to Durango, Mexico. Accompanied by a small group of Young Living members and employees, the team made the rugged journey up Copper Canyon to provide the members of the Tarahumara Indian Tribe with a water pump to make clean water more easily accessible, and they began construction on two schools for the children in the village.
This trip intensified a thirst within Gary to perpetuate awareness to our members to join him in his desire to help others in need and ultimately led to the establishment of the Young Living Foundation in 2009. Enjoy the following timeline of major events from the day it all began.
