I fell in love with The Garden Gate Ranch when I met the founder more than two years ago. She believes all of women who find them are God's children and need to be rescued from their traffickers. They opened and started taking in residents in April of 2020 after raising enough funds to open but they have a huge need to build small transitional cottages on their property for the women and children to move into upon completing the year-plus program so they can go to school or work but have the support of the staff and resources like daycare for their first 6 months on their own. This is considered the riskiest time for a woman to go back into the lifestyle if she doesn't have support she needs. Some of the women are almost done with the program and currently don't have family or support outside of Garden Gate Ranch. They come from all over the country as one of the only places that is set up for women and their children so they don't have family close by to support them. This matching fundraiser will give them just what they need to build a cottage in time for the graduates.
