YL Extreme Team Challenge

YL Extreme Team Challenge

With the help of our partner Hope for Justice, the Young Living Extreme Team summitted Mount Kilimanjaro on Monday, October 28. At 5,895 meters (19,3741 feet), it’s the highest point on the entire African continent.

We want to recognize our Extreme Teamers for their monumental achievement and for their fundraising efforts on behalf of Hope for Justice and its fight against modern-day slavery. One hundred percent of all funds raised by the YL Extreme Team will go directly to Hope for Justice’s prevention, rescue, and reform efforts against slavery.

Congratulations to former Young Living Foundation Executive Director Greg Larsen and his son, Hunter Larsen, as well as to Young Living members Ernie Yarbrough, Andy Jenkins, Jacob Frank, David Trombley, and Tod Tracy for reaching the peak and for raising funds for Hope for Justice.

Here’s a quick day-by-day breakdown of the trek up Mount Kilimanjaro.

What is Hope for Justice?

Hope for Justice is a global non-profit that fights to bring an end to modern slavery by preventing exploitation, rescuing victims, restoring lives, and campaigning for societal reforms. Last year Hope for Justice reached more than 72,000 children and teenagers through its work, including through its Lighthouse centers, outreach work, and community education and prevention campaigns. During that time, Hope for Justice returned more than 1,000 children safely to their parents or to family-based care.
