Ecuador Earthquake Relief

United with Ecuador

Shortly after a powerful 7.8-magnitude earthquake struck Ecuador on April 16, 2016, Young Living Senior Director of Global Philanthropy Nikki Davis traveled to Ecuador and teamed up with our staff in the country to coordinate and put your donations to use to purchase food, water, and supplies. We also assembled emergency kits, which included Young Living products. All of the items were then delivered to some of the most remote areas hit by the devastating earthquake—areas where people were still waiting for aid.

Your donations did so much as we focused on providing supplies such as:

  • Young Living products
  • First aid materials
  • Food and water
  • Candles and matches
  • Tents for temporary shelter

Young Living continues to stand united with the people of Ecuador. We feel fortunate that all of our Young Living employees in Ecuador and the Young Living Academy students are safe and that all of our operations at the Young Living Ecuador office, Young Living Academy, Guayaquil farm, and wellness spa have not been impacted.

However, we were heartbroken by the images and stories of people in Ecuador living near the epicenter of the earthquake in the coastal Manabí Province, and our thoughts and prayers are with those who are affected. Many in the hardest hit areas have lost everything, including friends, relatives, and children.

Ecuador is part of Young Living

Ecuador holds a special place in the hearts of the Young Living family. Not only is it home to one of our beautiful farms, but it’s also home to The D. Gary Young, Young Living Foundation’s flagship project, the Young Living Academy. Couple that with an office, wellness spa, other operations, and many employees and members, and Ecuador is as much a home to us as our headquarters in Lehi, Utah, USA.

Ecuador's members, employees, and community friends are part of the Young Living family.
