Here's to Strong, Empowered Females

So it’s Addison’s birthday month and I’m SO excited to celebrate. But I’ve been thinking about the Young Living Foundation, Hope for Justice since I shared it with you all last week. Quick refresher: their mission is to end human trafficking and slavery, in our generation. The fact that this is even a problem in our world in 2019 is HORRIFYING to me. Having a daughter just escalates my anxiety and disgust. And if you think it’s not happening in our country, you are wrong. With more than 20 million slaves in the world—more than half of which are women and girls—human trafficking is one of the most devastating social issues of our time. But, more than 90 percent of victims who go through Hope for Justice’s restorative programs never return to trafficking—that’s the highest percentage among nonprofits battling modern-day slavery.

So I thought, what better way to celebrate baby girl’s birthday than to set a fundraising goal of $500 for this fabulous project? Because every girl, boy, child, PERSON deserves safety, freedom and a chance to live out his or her dreams and sadly, that’s just not the case in our current state of world affairs.

If you missed my post last week, quick things to take note of… 100% of donations to The Young Living foundation go directly to their projects. Young Living covers all the overhead and administrative costs associated with running the charity. Who does that? That is CRAZY generous and what I’ve been most frustrated by in the past when deciding who to donate to. It’s frustrating to see CEOS of nonprofits raking in six figures, am i right?

So if this lights a fire in your belly too, and you love knowing that when my money is donated HERE is goes further than it would at other non profits, will you help me reach my goal?
